If the vehicle is involved in an accident such as a collision, impact, or sudden acceleration-related incident, this data is marked and stored. One may analyse the data to find its root cause by playing back the scenes of interest where acceleration, vehicle speed, direction, and location are available for review. The built-in GPS logger records speed, location and direction of travel, which can be played back with the video using the T-eye Player software that is supplied on the SD card. Data can be overlayed on to Google Maps™ for further review. A manual external trigger alarm is also supplied, which can be positioned in a suitable place in the vehicle to prompt emergency recording with a simple press of the button.
